We here at The Fillmore would like to invite our friends at Non-Profit and Community organizations to The Fillmore this Saturday night, April 7, to see The Frames .

Fans of Counting Crows, My Morning Jacket , and Crowded House take note!

For the past 10 years, The Frames have been a standard for Irish rock and having toured with other Irish artists, such as Damien Rice.   Known for selling out the largest of Ireland's arenas, this is your chance to be see one Irelands top bands at the intimate confines of The Fillmore. 

In their native Ireland, all of The Frames' albums to date have achieved Double Platinum sales status and the band's live album went Triple Platinum !  The band was honored last year by Esquire magazine who credited them with the coveted Best Import award (which Coldplay had won the previous year).  They have also made the New York Times end of year Top 10 releases in past years.

The Frames leader, Glen Hansard, chose the name from his childhood fascination with bicycles; he regularly repaired his friends' bikes, and with the frames scattered about his family's yard, their home was consequently known as "the frames house."  You my also recognize Hansard from his co-staring role in Alan Parker's hit film The Commitments -

In the past, The Frames have supported such notable causes as: N ew Orleans Musicians Relief Fund, Red Cross, America's Second Harvest, Farm Aid, Oxfam America, Music Maker Relief, Foundation, Humane Society of the U.S., PetFinder
